PADI Open Water Diver Course – Your First Step to Diving Independence The PADI Open Water Diver course is the ultimate starting point for anyone aged 10 and up who’s ready to take the plunge into becoming a confident, independent diver. Whether you’re diving solo, with friends, or making it a memorable family adventure, this course combines learning, practice, and exploration to open up a world of underwater possibilities. So what is included in our price? Everything: - pick up from your Hurghada based hotel (further hotels subject to supplement) - your e-learning and PADI certification fees - your scuba equipment - boat fee (excluding optional crew tips) - lunch and drinks on board Here’s what to expect: STEP 1 - Learn the theory Once you register for this course, you will get your credentials to start your PADI e-learning. This is normally done independently and prior to the start of the course but it can also be done during the course itself. The e-learning will teach you the theory needed to understand scuba diving techniques, terminology, and safety. Your PADI instructor will be there to answer any questions. STEP 2 - Practice in a safe environment Then it's time to get in the water. After familiarising yourself with the equipment and going through some confirmations that all of the theory has been understood, the first lessons will start in a confined water environment (e.g. a swimming pool or shallow water). In two confined water sessions, you’ll learn and practice the essential skills for diving. STEP 3 - Open water diving sessions Finally then it's time to explore the Red Sea. The highlight of your training is four unforgettable open-water dives. This is where it all comes together! You’ll demonstrate your skills in the ocean and then have time to enjoy exploring the underwater world under the guidance of your instructor. By the end, you’ll feel comfortable and capable of diving independently. Once you complete the course, you’ll be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, able to rent equipment and dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters. Whether you’re looking to explore with loved ones or embark on solo adventures, this certification is a gateway to a lifetime of underwater discovery. This course will normally take 3 days to complete. In case you need more days or dives to complete the course, they will be charged as an additional diving session (see the daily diving services).
